What is a Mature Driver Skills Evaluation?
An evaluation can be as simple as going for a drive
Our trained staff will put you at ease
Our goal is to make your experience as comfortable & pleasant as possible
As you drive, our instructor will watch for any number of concerns that may need to be addressed.
We will then prepare and provide a written evaluation with any recommendations that we feel may be beneficial
Such recommendations may relate to adaptive devices for your vehicle, vision screening, or occupational therapy to compensate for injury or loss of movement
An evaluation may take up to one hour.
Some things we look for are:

cognative skills, reaction time, visual concerns, confusion, frustration, decision making, awareness & attention, injury or loss of movement
We also assess technical skills such as:

lane position, speed control, depth perception, spacial awareness, reaction to traffic signs & signals, rules of the road, parking and driving in reverse.
